This position is located This position is located within a National Interagency Support Cache (NISC) located on a Region 2 Forest Service unit. This position involves warehousing and materials handling activities that include receiving, storing, repairing, refurbishing, and shipping supplies, equipment, and materials.   • Serves as a NISC fleet manager responsible for coordinating with GSA and USDA Fleet Management Specialists on replacing, servicing and repairing policies and procedures for vehicles and equipment assigned to the Fire Program.
  • Consolidates monthly vehicle reports and cost coding for fire vehicles and submits information to the appropriate fleet management personnel.
  • Manages the transportation fleet used to deliver emergency equipment and supplies. Coordinates maintenance, inspection.
  • Coordinates record keeping for a fleet of vehicles such as semi-trailers, two-axle semi-trucks, cargo vans, 3⁄4 ton pick-up trucks, and various emergency rental agreement vehicles need for emergency incident support.
  • Conduct spot, cyclic and annual inventories of stock on hand, perform causative research and reports reasons for overages, shortages, or wrong locations.
