Logisticians analyze and coordinate a supply chain across its whole life, from sourcing and inbound freight through warehousing to final delivery, and coordinator titles usually sit at the operational end of that: booking carriers, tracking loads, working exceptions, keeping shipping and customs documents in order, and reporting cost and service back to the business. BLS lists a bachelor's degree as the typical entry credential, counted 255,100 logisticians in 2025, and reported median pay of $82,320 for May 2025, which is $39.58 an hour. Manufacturing employs 22 percent of the occupation, professional and technical services 15 percent, and the federal government 14 percent.
