National Park Service careers

Since 1916 the National Park Service has been entrusted with the care of the national parks, and the charge it was given then still reads the same: conserve the scenery and the natural and historic objects and the wild life therein, and provide for the enjoyment of them in a way that leaves them unimpaired for future generations. More than 318 million visitors arrive each year. The work also reaches past park boundaries, into local history and community projects that tribes, towns, businesses, and nonprofits ask the Service to help with.
