About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, located at Tripler Army Medical Center, Directorate of Resource Management, Honolulu Hawaii. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
- Serve as the Inventory Management Specialist responsible for managing standard and nonstandard medical supplies to ensure effective support across all MTF organizations and supported units.
- Conduct extensive fact finding and analysis to determine stock availability, suitability and best price.
- Review all new items requests and researches each request for availability and cost information to be provided to the Chief, Materiel for consideration for stockage.
- Serve as primary inventory management specialist for medical supplies using prime vendor, direct vendor purchase, and government purchase card authority and procedures to purchase required drugs and services.
- Operate the Defense Medical Logistics Support System (DMLSS).
