Position Overview:

The Elections ADA Warehouse Lead within the County Clerk's Office owns the accuracy and readiness of election accessibility inventory — stocking, auditing, and deploying ADA supplies to Early Voting and Election Day Vote Centers. This role is directly accountable for maintaining accurate real-time inventory records, conducting regular quality-control audits, and forecasting replenishment needs early enough to avoid emergency or last-minute procurement. The role also supports the ADA Team and warehouse operations by leading assigned projects to completion and serves as the primary point of contact for vendors and elections department staff requiring accurate, timely inventory information.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials required on-site for election usage.
  • Maintains organization within ADA warehouse inventory (ramp parts, buzzers, mats, plates, cones, A-frames, signage, Vote Center paperwork).
  • Conducts regular inventory QC assessments/audits and report to leadership for retention and forecasting.
  • Analyzes current inventories and procedures — identify shortages/reorder needs early and suggest efficiency improvements.
  • Manages receiving of ramps after voting concludes and coordinates staging of temporary ramps.
  • Delivers and retrieves election equipment as needed (car, van, pickup, box truck).
  • Maintains safety compliance in aisles, around AEDs/fire extinguishers; secures ADA warehouse doors daily.

Must meet all eligibility requirements to register to vote in the State of Texas.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution.
  • Two (2)+ years of warehouse operations experience, including inventory management, stock control, or audit/reconciliation experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and accessibility compliance requirements.
  • Thorough understanding of ADA materials, equipment, and logistics.
  • Proven experience with inventory management, asset tracking, and stock reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct systematic audits and QC assessments, with skill in forecasting replenishment needs.
  • Strong data accuracy and record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills; proven ability to build positive working relationships with team members, Elections Department staff, and other departments.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, highly organized with experience managing competing priorities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Attentive to detail and consistently thorough.
  • Excellent time management, adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Works well under pressure while maintaining effective communication.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and compliance standards.
Licensure and Certification:
  • Valid Driver's License and personal reliable means of transportation.
  • Forklift certification required within 90 days of hire.

Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:  

  • Regular Full-time
  • Monday – Friday | 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.
    • Overtime hours as required to include weekends during election periods.
Salary:
  • $28.16 Hourly
  • Based on 26 Pay Periods

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
  • Works in an office/warehouse environment with periodic travel to Vote Center locations for equipment delivery and retrieval. 
  • Operates standard office and warehouse equipment, including computers, pallet jacks, and forklifts; certified forklift operation is required. 
  • May be exposed to varying temperatures, dust, and loading dock conditions. 
  • Requires lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly; extended standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, climbing, and repetitive motion.
  • Requires close vision for inventory records and the ability to hear safety alarms and warning signals. 
  • Must follow all applicable safety protocols.


Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards.
